Hello hello mis amigos!!!
I am warning you that this is going to be very long; I have a lot to say
Okay, so, yesterday, I woke up at my normal time(9:30am), and I was going to watch Hollywood Squares and Price is Right like I always do. So, I turn on the TV and tune into CBS and there's Mr.Monkey Boy (you have to know who this is... come on think hard... okay fine since some of you may be stumped, it was Dubya.) giving his ninth press conference. I was so mad; How DARE he cut into my morning television routine. I assumed it would be short, but I was so wrong it lasted more than an hour and he cut almost a half hour of the Price is Right out!
There were so many things wrong with his press conference, I don't even know where to begin.
Okay, first, of all, baby Bush has given only 9 press conferences; at this point in daddy Bush's career he had given 61!!! Is that not totally ludicrous???
Okay, secondly, read this: " On national security front, it has been 90 days since the end of the major combat operations in Iraq. The nation has been liberated from tyranny and is on the path to self-government and peace. The Iraqi governing council is meeting regularly. Local police forces are now being trained. And citizens are being recruited into a new Iraqi military -- a military that will protect the Iraqi people instead of intimidating them. Soon representatives of the people will begin drafting a new constitution and free elections will follow. After decades of oppression, the people of Iraq are reclaiming their country and are reclaiming their future." Okay, he's trying to tell me that after 90 days of occupation they have already started forming a government AND a police force??? Riiiiiiighttttttt.....
And this is only the beginning!
Next, he said " The success of a free Iraq will also demonstrate to other countries in that region that national prosperity and dignity are found in representative government and free institutions. They are not found in tyranny, resentment, and for support of terrorism. As freedom advances in the Middle East, those societies will be less likely to produce ideologies of hatred and produce recruits for terror." Yet they still continue to kill our soldiers and be verbally hateful to the American people??? Dream on Bush. Read this: "This time when we say, the check is in the mail, we mean it." So people didn't get their checks before? Hmmmm...
I have also noticed that Bush is always trying to crack little jokes to the reporters example: "There's no need for any unrestrained yelling." Here's another example:
"THE PRESIDENT: How long have you been -- how long have you been in the press corps? You look like you just came.
Q: Last week was my first week.
THE PRESIDENT: Yes, congratulations.
Q: Thank you.
THE PRESIDENT: Be careful whose company you're keeping, though." HAHAHA!!!! You're SO witty.... NOT
Here are some other things you may want to look at.
"Mr. President, you often speak about the need for accountability in many areas. I wonder then, why is Dr. Condoleezza Rice not being held accountable for the statement that your own White House has acknowledged was a mistake in your State of the Union address regarding Iraq's attempts to purchase uranium? And also, do you take personal responsibility for that inaccuracy?
THE PRESIDENT: I take personal responsibility for everything I say, of course. Absolutely. I also take responsibility for making decisions on war and peace.... Dr. Condoleezza Rice is an honest, fabulous person. And America is lucky to have her service. Period." So, do you think something is fishy? Why is he so protective of Condoleezza??? Make your own assuption I know I have mine :)
Oh My Goodness! I loved this question: "You just explained that your approach to your job is to try to produce results. It has been roughly a year since North Korea apprised the United States government that it is seeking to reactivate its nuclear weapons program. In that year, you and your aides have repeatedly said that you seek a diplomatic approach to that problem. And yet, over that year, all we've seen from the North Koreans are more bellicose statements and more steps taken to add to their stockpile of nuclear weapons that they already have. What can you point to in the record over the last year by your administration, for Americans to look at and say, this President has produced results?" HAHAHA GOTCHA!!!!
But Bush never gave an explanation really. He used empty language and a round about way that made no sense. Here's his response:
"Yes. I think that one of the things that is important to understand in North Korea is that the past policy of trying to engage bilaterally didn't work. In other words, the North Koreans were ready to engage, but they didn't keep their word on their engagement. And that ought to be a clear signal to policymakers of what to expect with North Korea. Secondly, in my judgment, the best way to convince the North Koreans to change their attitude about a nuclear weapons program is to have others in the neighborhood assume responsibility, alongside the United States. So this morning, interesting enough -- I'm glad you asked that question, because I can tell you that I talked to Hu Jintao this morning -- not anticipation of your question, but as part of an ongoing process to encourage him to stay involved in the process of discussions with Mr. Kim Jong-il, all attempting to say to him that it is a -- it is not in his nation's interest to continue developing these weapons and we would like to see him dismantle those weapons programs.
As well as, I told President Hu that I think it's very important for us to get Japan and South Korea and Russia involved, as well. So the progress that is being made is we're actually beginning to make serious progress about sharing responsibility on this issue in such a way that I believe will lead to an attitudinal change by Kim Jong-il, which will be very positive for peace in the region."
One thing I thought all throughout the conference was " Where is Helen Thomas!?!" She could pin him in five seconds flat... Maybe.... I'm just saying that she is awesome! I think that she has a wonderful meathod of asking questions and is an excellent debater.
Yet another thing.... Bush is going on vacation again
I'm sure that you are tired of my commentary. So, I will cut it short. What I'm basically saying is that the Head Honcho of the White House is not exactly all what he is cracked up to be. He uses a round-about method of answering questions, "scratching the reporters' bellies" in an attempt to get them on his side by cracking jokes, asking about births and weddings, and how long they've been there. I am just very dissapointed with this administration and what it has dine and "accomplished." You should just read the whole press conference.
On a lighter note, if my dad reads this, he would have me arrested for treason. He is very Republican and also very loyal to any of the Republican presidents. hahahaha!
I will let you go! I know you are probably bored to tears hearing me ramble on and on.... Here I go again....
BYE!

Hello again and sorry I haven't written in a week. I know you are hanging on my every blog entry...not. Anyway, I have been very bored seeing as how it's summer there is nothing extremely interesting going on in my life as of now. I did go to the mall Saturday for our annual trip to the big mall down south. I got to spend $250!!!! It was very exciting. I got like 7 outfits and two pairs of shoes; I also got monkey socks and monkey shoe laces :).
For a change of subject, the police found the Baylor basketball player's body outside Waco. It was kinda disturbing because they think that his roommate killed him. I hope I don't have a psycho roommate, that would be scary... Anyway, that's all I have for you today, I know it's short, but my life is SO uneventful, it's entering the land of monotony (WOOOHOOOO BONUS WORD! lol!). So, goodbye for now my chums!

Hello again anxoius readers!!!
I have taken a little time off I guess to figure out what I am going to write about... I have had no interesting thought provoking chats or even little bits about someone else's opinions that I agree about or don't agree about... This is generally how my life is... boring and a bit on the weird side. Hmmmmm, mom's friend Kathy is flying back home :( but that means I get my room back!!!! YAY! hahaha! That reminds me of that crank yanker episode where this retarted kid calls this adult movie theatre and asks how much one ticket is .... how much two tickets are.... how much three tickets are... how much four tickets are... how much five tickets are YAY! I can bring four of my friends YAY! lol! It made me laugh you have to dee it to get the full view of how funny it is...
Ho hum... April is in California and we had a fight and she hasn't emailed me back. Quite frankly, it was rather stupid. She told her boyfriend something she promised she wouldn't tell him and she betrayed my trust and told him anyway... Gah! Don't you hate it when that happens???
Me and my friend Sandra and all the people that were in the house yesterday(Kathy, Zoey, Holly, Mom, and Emma) went to the amusment park here. I used to love it there... I thought it was to die for, but now I'm like... Is that all? It was actually kinda boring towards the end. I was like I have ridden this three times! Anyway, it was fun and I think we all enjoyed it. Me and Sandra got really close. She's one of my friends that I talk to, but don't normally call everyday... We had lotsa fun and talked a whole lot. Great fun!
Anyway, I think that you are probably bored out of your minds and upset that I didn't rant about how wrong the world is or how it is mega screwed up... I will leave you to surf the internet alone! Good Bye!

I was talking to my good friends Merri and Zack a couple of weeks ago, and we had a really cool conversation. We talked about our religious beliefs. I think personally I am a more open-minded person. I mean I don't think that you necessarily need to go to church every single Sunday to show that you love God. I think the closely guarded preacher's kids or the extremely religious are the worst. My cousin is seven years old and he is the most perverted kid I know. At Christmas, we were at my grandmother's house and me and a few of my cousins were having a snowball fight in this vacant lot, and my cousin said, "You can make the snow more white with the milk from your boobies." I was totally appaled! I was like wow.... So, those type of kids are not the ones that are automatically going to heaven. My great-grandmother tells me that I should go to church with her every Sunday because it's the "Christian" thing to do. She believes that I will go to hell since I do not go to church every Sunday and I wear cute clothes. My great-grandmother is very strict. She told my mom that the reason she got cervical cancer was because God was telling her not to be gay.At Christmas, I was wearing a new outfit I got and she told me, "You look so.... I don't know" I was wearing pants, Steve Madden boots, and a sweater from Vanity. So, people have some very strict values. I do not think that God is the mean kind. I mean he tells us to love everyone around you, to not judge them, and to be compassionate. I think if there were no hurt in the world, then there would be no compassion. It may be a rash thing to say, but I think it's true. When I was talking to Merri and Zack we decided that religion is used as a political tool to an extent. I mean think of this: in the pledge of alligence, "...one nation under God...", on any coin, " in God we trust", and think of how many times the president talks about God. Too many that's how many times. I have decided that I believe in God and Jesus too. My friend Merri on the other hand is still not sure what she believes. She knows there is a "superior being", but she isn't sure whether it is Budda, Allah, or God. She also brought up some interesting questions on where we go after death and I pointed out to her that I think there are sign all over. I mean, think of the changing seasons, you die and then are reborn. Think of a butterfly and a caterpiller, does a butterfly look like a caterpiller? No. Does it eat the same things? No. But they are the same thing. Think of it this way, energy never dies, it just transforms. So, your core, essence, or soul never dies it just transforms. I mean that's how I see it. I don't think anything can ever actually not exsist. Yes, trees die and become part of the Earth, but herbivores consume things from the Earth, and humans consume the herbivores. It is an endless circle every way you look at it I think. Okay, I think you have had enough preaching for today. Ta-Ta!

Hello all of you curious in my opinions.... sort of....
I have decided that first I will give you some background information. First of all, I am a fifteen year old girl that lives in a small Texas town that is very close minded (the town that is not me) and unfortunately republican (sorry kids I'm a democrat). My mom is gay and I live with her, her partner, and my little 9 year old sister. My parents got divorced when I was six and I have lived with my mom ever since. So, enough of that, I am going to talk to you!
Today's topic is... the war(s) in Iraq and Afghanistan. This has been grading on me for a long time and I have not been able to talk about it with anyone other than my moms.
Okay, so, I am sick of everyone conviniently forgetting we have troops in Afghanistan. They just kinda dropped off the face of the earth... No one remebers that they are cooking in the hot middle eastern sun as well as the troops in Iraq! These guys have no clue when they are coming home. The dates have been put off and put off by our favorite guy Donald Rumsfeld. I really feel sorry for them. Did you know that five soldiers have commited suicide??? I mean I don't think they can take it. They're homesick, and at a rate of one soldier being killed daily I believe they are a bit scared because they could die! It's very upsetting, and I wish they would come home soon. Since I opposed the war in the first place, I think everyone believes that I don't support the troops. I remeber when the whole thing first started, and I said that we should not be going to war. This girl Hannah said that I didn't suport the troops and I was anti-American. I was totally shocked and upset, I mean why would she say that about me??? I support the troops 100%!!! I think they are extremly brave for going out there and fighting for us. I think they just need to come home. That's what I am saying. Although, I support the troops and say, "Hey they are doing real great, good for them." but I could be doing something more. Here I am writing in my blog when I could be writing letters to our senators and representaives and the Texas government asking for help. But am I? No. So maybe I'm a hipocrite, but I really believe that we should get the troops back home and back where they belong, here in the US. Did you know that now a lot of Iraqi people that supported the US coming in and "liberating" them say that we shouldn't have come. They had food, water, and electricity when Saddam was in charge, now they have nothing.
So, take that into consideration. You don't have to agree with me, but please think about what I said. Comments are so welcome. You can e-mail me at groovygurl06@yahoo.com I would really enjoy hearing your thoughts.
I am going to have to leave you! I will write again soon!
